Lakewood Woman Found Dead At Suburban Motel

LAKEWOOD, OH — Police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old Lakewood woman. Her body was found at a motel in Middleburg Heights on Sunday.

The woman was found at the Motel 6 on Engle Road. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office believes she died Saturday, but her body wasn't discovered until Sunday.

There were no signs of violence or foul play in the motel room, Middleburg Heights police told Patch on Thursday. Investigators declined to comment on if there were signs of drug abuse in the room, but said they were waiting on a toxicology report from the medical examiner before announcing a cause of death.

Police said the wait for the toxicology report could take months due to backup at the medical examiner's office.
