Liam Neeson Visits Lakewood Bowling Alley
The A-list actor visited Mahall's 20 Lanes over the weekend. Rumor is, it was his first-time bowling.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Liam Neeson has a very particular set of skills...which may not include bowling. The actor is in Northeast Ohio filming his new film "The Minuteman" and over the weekend he visited Mahall's in Lakewood to knock over a few pins.
Mahall's co-owner Colin McEwen was at the bowling alley and bar when Neeson came in. He said the actor was there with a group from "The Minuteman."
"We'd heard it was his first-time ever bowling," McEwen told Patch. "We're fairly certain he enjoyed it."

The Mahall's staff said Neeson was generous with his time and was very kind. Employees tried to keep Neeson from being bothered during his visit. McEwen waited until after the actor had left to post about the visit on social media.
Neeson isn't the first A-lister to visit Mahall's. In 2016, Matthew McConaughey visited the bowling alley while he was in town filming "White Boy Rick."

"We also understand that, as the oldest bowling in the state and one of the oldest in the nation (celebrating 95 years this year), we often get a broad, diverse cross-section of customers. We're proud that we not only serve the occasional out-of-town celebrities, but also regularly host talented artists, musicians and members from our own vibrant community. Mahall's is a thriving historic institution that belongs to all of us. And, you never know who's going to walk through the doors," McEwen said.
Editor's note: Colin McEwen was formerly a Patch editor. He now works for Case Western Reserve University and is co-owner of Mahall's.
