Madison Park Shooting: 2nd Person In Custody

Lakewood police have identified a second suspect in Tuesday's shooting at Madison Park.

LAKEWOOD, OH — A second suspect in Tuesday's shooting at Madison Park has been identified and taken into custody, Lakewood police announced Saturday.

Emmanuel Cedeno, 18, was apprehended by police on Friday at a motel in Westlake, according to a Lakewood police spokesperson. Cedeno faces a charge of attempted murder. His bail has been set at $500,000. His first appearance in court has not yet been scheduled.

Cedeno was arrested in connection with a shooting Tuesday in which another man, also 18, was hurt. His condition was not available Thursday afternoon, Lakewood police told Patch.

Earlier this week, police took Corey Froberg, 18, into custody in connection with the shooting. Croberg faces a charge of complicity to attempted murder, a first-degree felony.

An earlier shooting happend at Madison Park March 12. In that incident, an argument broke out at the basketball court over who could play next and two men shot at a third man. The third man pulled out a gun and shot at the first two men, Lakewood police Chief Kevin Kaucheck said.
