Man Threatened After Pleading Guilty to Stabbing Dog to Death

Man threatened: A Lakewood man, who pleaded guilty to cruelty to an animal companion in Oberlin Municipal Court last week after stabbing a dog to death in Amherst earlier this year, told police that he had been receiving threats on June 6. He asked police to keep an eye on his home.

Huffing, hallucinating: During a suspected standoff just a few houses away, a man in the 2200 block of Lark Street was taken away by an EMS crew for hallucinating after huffing chemicals at around 7:40 p.m. June 6.

Graffiti on a truck: Spray-painted graffiti was reported on a truck in the 16300 block of Detroit Avenue at around 9 a.m. June 6.

Robbery: A man was arrested and charged with robbery after he knocked a woman down, and took her purse in the 15700 block of Madison Avenue at around 11:20 a.m. June 6. Officers found him a short time later; the witness identified him as her attacker and he was arrested.

Breaking and entering: Copper pipes were reported stolen from a home in the 17400 block of Norton Avenue at around 2 p.m. June 6.
