Manβs Camping Trip Thwarted By Thieves

Camping gear theft: A man in the 1200 block of Hathaway Avenue was preparing for a camping trip at around 10 a.m. July 25, when thieves stole all of his camping gear from the front yard. Among the items reported stolen were his sleeping bag, tent, radio, canopy and grill.
Woman threatened with gun: A woman told police that a man pulled up in the 11700 block of Detroit Avenue and pointed a gun at her before driving away, headed west, at around 12:15 a.m. July 22.
Dining and dashing: A man and woman skipped out on their $90 tab at Quaker Steak and Lube at around 11 p.m. July 22.

Noise complaint. Really? Police responded to a report of a noise complaint in the 12400 block of Detroit Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. July 23. Officers found a father and son playing catch with a football, and told them of the complaint. They said theyβd go in for the night.
Donβt egg me on: Police received a report of eggs thrown at a car in the 1100 block of Summit Avenue at around 7:40 a.m. July 23. It was the third time that cars in the area have been the target of egging. There were two additional reports in the 1200 block of Marlowe Avenue.

Fake $5 bill: Someone used a fake $5 bill at the Discount Drug Mart (13123 Detroit Avenue) at around 6 p.m. July 23.
Dangerous drugs: A man was charged with drug abuse following a traffic stop in the 15600 block of Hilliard Road at around 1:30 a.m. July 24.
Fight in an apartment: A man and a woman were each cited with disorderly conduct after fighting at an apartment in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue at around 3 a.m. July 24.
Petty theft: A woman was caught shoplifting from the CVS Pharmacy at around 7 p.m. July 24. She was charged with petty theft.
Indecent exposure: Police received a report of a man βexposing his penisβ behind a business in the 16900 block of Detroit Avenue at around 8:15 p.m. July 24. He was a taken to Lakewood Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
