McKinley Avenue Bridge Work Beginning July 22
The bridge will be closed to all traffic during construction.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is beginning repairs on the McKinley Bridge over Interstate 90 on Friday, July 22. The bridge will be closed to all traffic during construction. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 15.
“On behalf of the City of Lakewood, we thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during the work,” City Engineer Mark Papke said in a press release.

- McKinley Ave.: Closed to thru traffic—local traffic will be permitted—from Riverside Dr. to Hilliard Rd. to the bridge
- McKinley Bridge: Closed to all traffic
- South Marginal: At least one lane of traffic will be maintained going east
- North Marginal: At least one lane of traffic will be maintained going west
There will be no access to or from McKinley off of or onto Marginal roads.
It’s unclear what circumstances would potentially allow more than one lane of traffic to be maintained on North and South Marginal, as the press release released by the Lakewood Division of Engineering & Construction notes that “at least one lane of traffic” will be maintained.
