More Construction, Closures On SR 2 This Weekend
Drivers may want to find an alternative route into and out of Cleveland.
CLEVELAND — Parts of the Cleveland Memorial Shoreway, State Route 2, will be closed this weekend and part of next week. Crews will be working on the state route through at least August 2020, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Starting Friday morning, the ramp from I-90 east to SR 2 west will be closed. The closure will start at 6 a.m. and end at midnight. Drivers should follow this detour route: I-90 east to E. 55th St. to I-90 west to SR 2 west.
On Sunday, the ramp from SR 2 west to South Marginal Road will be closed between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers headed that direction should follow this detour: E. 9th St. south to SR 2 east to Exit 195 A to South Marginal Road.

Finally, starting Sunday, the ramp from South Marginal Road to SR 2 west will be closed between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers should go north on South Marginal Road to E. 9th Street to get to SR 2 west.
