More Construction On SR 2 In October

Work will continue on the state route through mid-October, ODOT said. Lakewood residents may want to consider alternate routes downtown.

The right lane of SR 2 east and west, between W. 28th and E. 9th, will be closed through late October, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced this week. Crews will be doing concrete barrier sealing operations.

If the weather permits, crews will close SR 2 west overnight on Friday, from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.. The closure will take place between First Energy Stadium and W. 25th Street. Workers will be doing deck sealing operations during that time.

Then, starting Monday and continuing through Wednesday, October 10, crews will close SR 2 east and west between W. 25th and the stadium from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to do concrete sealing. On Thursday, October 11, crews will close SR 2 east between W. 25th and the stadium from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to do deck sealing.
