Parts Of SR 2 To Be Shut Down At Night This Week
Construction on a portion of the state route will close part of SR 2 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Monday through Thursday.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Drivers that use SR 2 may find their usual route cramped this week. Crews will be closing SR 2 east and west between W. 25th Street and First Energy starting Monday night. Each evening, through Thursday, that section of the state route will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The Ohio Department of Transportation said crews will be removing portable barriers and completing joint seal work across all lanes. Motorists will be detoured along W. 25th Street, to Detroit-Superior, and W. 3rd Street.
The bridge will reopen each morning, but the left lane will remain closed in each direction until pavement marking operations are complete, which should be in early October, the Ohio Department of Transportation said in an email. All work is weather dependent.
