Parts of SR 2 East To Close On Monday
And intensive construction will continue through at least late July, according to ODOT.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Construction on State Route 2 could soon impact west side commutes again. All lanes on SR 2/Main Avenue Bridge eastbound will be closed on Monday, July 2, between W. 25th and W. 3rd streets, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says crews will be performing traffic switch operations during this time. Drivers will be detoured via W. 25th St., Detroit-Superior, W. 3rd St. to SR 2 east.
Work will continue on Tuesday morning, after SR 2 east re-opens. Crews will occupy the center lane of the three-lane section of the bridge. The two-lane section between Lakeside Avenue and E. 9th Street will continue to have a right lane closure, ODOT said.

"During this phase, the left (inside) lane will remain open at all times, but will have no access to Lakeside Avenue and the right (outside) lane - when open - will be an exit only lane to Lakeside Avenue," the agency said in an email.
Construction will continue on SR 2 through late July, with crews working Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The following lane closures will be implemented during that time:

- Right (outside) lane eastbound between W. 28th St. and W. 3rd St.
- SR 2 east exit ramp to Lakeside Avenue. Detour via E. 9th St. to Lakeside Ave.
"In addition, West 28th Street entrance ramp to SR 2 eastbound will be closed daily Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Detour via West 45th Street to access SR 2 east," ODOT said.
