Popular Michael's Restaurant In River To Close After 42 Years
After 42 years of great food and great memories, Michael's Restaurant is closing its doors for good.

ROCKY RIVER, OH — 42 years is a long time for any business to remain open, especially a restaurant. But after over four decades, the owner of the popular Michael's Restaurant in Rocky River has decided to close the doors and retire.
The restaurant was host to so many memories and attracted diners not only from Rocky River, but from all of the surrounding communities. Michael's Restaurant also gave back to the community by serving free Thanksgiving dinners to the less fortunate every year.
The restaurant will close for good on June 2nd at 9pm. In the final week of business they will be offering breakfast, lunch and dinner specials at 1977 prices to commemorate the year they opened.

Michaels’s to Close its Doors in Rocky River after 42 Years.
After 42 years in business serving the greater Cleveland community, it is with great consideration, that I will be closing the doors this Sunday, June 2nd at 9:00 PM.
I will offer several breakfast, lunch and dinner specials at 1977 prices, along with the current menu this week as my way of thanking our loyal customers and the community one last time for helping me achieve the American Dream.
I came to this country from Greece in the 1970s with very little. In 42 years, I started a successful business, met my wife raised four children who have grown into successful adults and have been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter.
After working in the restaurant business for 50 years and having the honor to serve the Rocky River community for 42 years, I feel it’s time to begin retirement and the next chapter of my life.
I was fortunate enough to serve tens of thousands of free Thanksgiving meals from 1970s until recently as my way to offer my gratitude to this Country that offered me so many successes and my way to give thanks back to the community and to my loyal customers.
All this week we will feature Chef Dino’s dishes from the regular menu so that patrons can enjoy their favorite means and have the opportunity to redeem their restaurant gift cards.
I’m looking forward to seeing as many old friends and customers that can stop by to share their memories one last time with us this week. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to all my former and current employees who have supported me through the years.
I look forward to spending quality time with my family but I will miss serving the greater community, as it became an extension of our family the past 42 years. Thank you again to all our loyal friends and customers for your support and love over the past four decades.
