Pumpkin Palooza Coming Saturday In Lakewood
The citywide pumpkin decoration challenge will come to its glorious conclusion this weekend.

LAKEWOOD, OH — Nothing say Halloween like a well-decorated pumpkin. To encourage residents to engage their artistic side, the city's youth service organization, Help to Others (H2O), is co-sponsoring this year's Pumpkin Palooza on Saturday.
The event, which runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., is held at Garfield Middle School, 13114 Detroit. Admission is free. Food and drink will cost money, tickets are 25 cents each. Proceeds from Palooza benefit Lakewood Community Services Center and the Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation.
The event is, of course, open to the public. There will be a "Great Pumpkin Patch" filled with artistic pumpkins from various artists and city groups. Attendees can enter raffles to win their favorite pumkin.

There will also be plenty of food and drink at the "Harvest Moon Café." There will also be an "Autumn Adventureland" that will feature crafts, carnival games and a costume parade, starting at 2 p.m. There will also be storytelling in "Sleepy Hollow."
Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to Lakewood Community Services Center and Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation. The city and Lakewood Schools, along with Lakewood Public Library and other civic groups, are also co-sponsors for the event.
