Custom decorated pumpkins, done by artists and local civic groups, will be on display during the event.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The city's annual Pumpkin Palooza is Saturday. The event will feature custom decorated pumpkins done by local artists and civic groups. There will also be food, crafts, games, a costume parade, and more.

The festival runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Lakewood High School. The event is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Lakewood Community Services Center or the Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corporation. All proceeds from the Palooza will benefit those two organizations.

The city said Pumpkin Palooza is the culmination of a citywide pumpkin-decorating challenge. "The Great Pumpkin Patch" will be stuffed full of decorated pumpkins, all donated by artists and local groups. Guests will have the chance to take home their favorite pumpkin via a raffle.
