Rite Aid Marathon Will Close Lake Avenue In Lakewood
Parking will also be scarce during Sunday's race, the city said on social media.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The 41st Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon will be run on Sunday. While the historic race traverses Greater Cleveland, some streets in both Cleveland and Lakewood will be closed. That will likely impact parking in both cities.
Lake Avenue will be closed to traffic from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 20 for the race, the city of Lakewood announced on Twitter. There will also be no parking from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure extends from Lake Avenue in Lakewood into Lake Road in Rocky River. Parking is expected to be particularly difficult on Sunday because of the Lake Avenue closure.
The closures will also impact the nearby Edgewater neighborhood of Cleveland. Edgewater, Clifton, West Boulevard, the Shoreway, W. 73rd, Father Frascati, and W. 74th will all be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
