Spin Bike riders meetup with Metropark police

Spin Bike, riders, cyclists, police, rules of the road, bikes, Cleveland Metropark

When I first arrived at the Spin Bike Shop on Madison Avenue (near Marlowe) and saw the 2 police cars, I thought they were there to serve a warrant(s) ? But they were there to speak about proper riding etiquette when the groups ride in the Metropark and field questions about the rules of the road.
Every Wednesday evening at 6 p.m., several groups depart from the Spin Bike Shop in varied groups based on skill levels focused on speed (pace) from A's to D's. Ohio rules allow for riding two abreast on the road and to take control of the roads under special conditions to make vehicular traffic aware of their presence on the road.
A special thank you to Cleveland Metropark police, Sgt. Scott Zahniser and Ptl. Jared Sudy and Spin Bike employee Anneliese Coleman.
