Teenaged Boy Struck By Car While Riding His Bike

Car versus bicyclist: A 15-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding his bicycling near the intersection of Detroit Avenue and Warren Road in the crosswalk near Boston Market at around 4 p.m. Oct. 9. The boy was taken to the hospital with unreported injuries, as his bike rested on Warren Road and police redirected traffic for about 30 minutes. Police chief Timothy Malley said the incident is still under investigation, and the boy’s condition is not known.

Case of road rage? Police received a report that two motorists were about to fight in the 13400 block of Madison Avenue at around 10 p.m. Oct. 8, but they left by the time officers arrived.

Burglary: A resident in the 1400 block of Lewis Drive reported that a man was spotted breaking into a window of a neighboring building at around 11 p.m. Oct. 8. The man fled the scene on foot.

Suspicion: Police received a report of two suspicious men pulling a wagon “loaded with stuff” in the 12500 block of Plover Street at around 6 a.m. Oct. 9. Turns out, the items belonged to the men, who were simply walking home.
