There were quite a few strange thefts reports around town this week. Apparently, thieves will steal anything.

Here are the top-five weirdest things stolen — or strange incidents — in town this week:

  1. An unpatriotic theft: A man reported his flag stolen from his front porch in the 1500 block of Roycroft Avenue on July 29.
  2. Because stealing food is too boring: A refrigerator and stove were reported stolen from an apartment in the 1400 block of Ridgewood Avenue at around 7:20 p.m. July 29.
  3. Graduation party heist: Jewelry was reported stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Clarence Avenue following a graduation party at around 12:45 p.m. July 28.
  4. Anyone for a role-playing game? A crossbow was reported stolen from a storage locker in the 1300 block of Webb Road at around 8 p.m. July 28.
  5. iPod stolen: A man told police that his iPod was stolen while he was playing basketball at Lakewood Park earlier in the day on July 28.
