Two Women Robbed at Gunpoint on Maile Avenue

Robbery: A man robbed two women at gunpoint as they walked in the 1400 block of Maile Avenue at around 6:15 p.m. June 15. The man was last spotted running north on Riverside Drive. Police caught up with a man matching the robber’s description at Simone’s, however it turned out to be case of mistaken identity.

Missing woman found: A woman reported missing out of Trumbull County was found at the Walgreens at 11701 Detroit Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. June 14. The woman refused to go with an EMS crew; she was encouraged to call her mother. She was released.

Kegs stolen: As many as eight empty kegs were stolen from the Buckeye Beer Engine in the early morning of June 11.

Firearm found? A man told police that he found a gun under a bucket in the driveway of his home in the 1200 block of Clifton Prado at around 5:30 p.m. June 11. Turns out, that it was a plastic, toy gun belonging to a neighbor.

Man exposing himself: Police received a report that a man was “exposing himself” to other customers at the Quaker Steak and Lube at around 1:15 a.m. June 12. He denied, it, and officers sent the man on his way.

Damaged goods: A resident in the 1000 block of Kirtland Lane told police that furniture is being delivered to the home damaged on June 12. Police told the resident that the incident is a civil matter.

Assault: A woman was charged with assault after reportedly “punching people” in the face in the 2100 block of Lewis Drive at around 11:50 p.m. June 12.

Breaking and entering: A home in the 1300 block of Gladys Avenue was reported broken into and stripped of its copper piping in the early morning of June 13.

Domestic violence: A man tried to strangle his girlfriend’s mother in the 1300 block of Beach Parkway at around 12:45 a.m. June 15. She sprayed him with pepper spray. He was charged with domestic violence.

Criminal mischief: Police received a report from a resident in the 1200 block of St. Charles Avenue that someone had let the air out of his tires on June 16.
