Webb Road Closed This Week In Lakewood
Norfolk Southern will close the street to through traffic while it repairs train tracks running through the city.
LAKEWOOD, OH — Part of Webb Road will be closed for much of the week, the city of Lakewood announced. The street should be re-opened by the end of the week, officials said on social media.
Webb Road was closed to through traffic on Monday morning. Norfolk Southern crews will be working on train tracks running through Lakewood throughout week. Officials are hoping Webb will be re-opened by the end of the week.
Norfolk Southern maintains more than 2,000 miles of train tracks throughout Ohio, including the rails in Lakewood. In Northeast Ohio, the company maintains service to ports, a rail yard, and two intermodal terminals.

There are more than 2,500 Norfolk Southern rail crossings throughout Ohio, the company said. Amtrak runs four passenger lines using Norfolk Southern railways.
