Winter Storm Aftermath: How Much Snow Did Lakewood Get?
Heavy snowfall, cutting winds and frigid temperatures all gripped northern Ohio this week.
LAKEWOOD, OH — More than 6 inches of snow blanketed Lakewood after Tuesday's winter storm, the National Weather Service announced.
The agency released its snowfall totals for communities around Northeast Ohio, including Lakewood. After the storm had concluded, a trained spotter recorded 6 inches of snow on the ground in the city.
Other communities in Cuyahoga County had even more snow than Lakewood. Here's how much snow surrounding communities got:

- Lyndhurst — 15 inches
- Willowick — 12 inches
- North Royalton — 11 inches
- Shaker Heights — 11 inches
- Westlake — 9 inches
- Lakewood — 6.2 inches
- Cleveland Hopkins Airport — 6 inches
An additional round of snowfall will hit northern Ohio on Thursday and Friday, though accumulation is expected to be much lighter than Tuesday's storm. Temperatures are also plunging into the record books, setting new marks for overnight lows in northern Ohio.
Wednesday morning had a low of 4 degrees, a two-year low for the region. With wind chill, temperatures feel sub-zero for anyone venturing outside.
