Cavaliers fall to the San Antonio Spurs 114-102 on Tuesday night

Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs. Lebron James, Isaiah Thomas, Kevin Love, Jae Crowder, DeJounte Murray, LaMarcus Aldridge,

Maybe the Cavs should had a team meeting on how to show energy on defense and to play like a team! The much discussed team meeting in which players griped about each other didn't help the team on Tuesday night as the Cavs suffered their 10th loss in their last 13 games in losing to the San Antonio Spurs 114-102.

The Spurs dominated the Cavaliers with LaMarcus Aldridge and a group of bench players. They had to make do without Manu Ginolbi, Pau Gasol, Rudy Gay and Kawhi Leonard still yet to play this season.

Lebron James finished with 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in an impressive individual performance. James became the seventh player in NBA history to join the 30,000-point club when he hit a two-point jumper from the left wing in the first quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers' showdown against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night. James also took the torch from Kobe Bryant as the youngest player in league history to hit 30k.

However, once again the Cavs' defense proved lifeless as the Spurs looked like they were in the midst of layup practice. The Cavs provided very little resistance on defense. After losing to the Spurs, the Cavs officially have the worst defensive rating in the league and have allowed 100 points in four straight games.

Additionally, the Cavs didn't make shots when needed and shot 6-for-21 beyond the arc (28.6) and had 18 turnovers leading to 21 Spurs points. Isaiah Thomas finished with 14 points (3-of-9 shooting), Kevin Love chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds and the slumping JR Smith went scoreless in 29 minutes.

The Spurs shot 50 percent from the field highlighted by 30 points from LaMarcus Aldridge and 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals from Dejounte Murray in his first full-time start at point guard over Tony Parker.

COMING UP FOR CLEVELAND CAVALIERS: The Cleveland Cavaliers welcome the Indiana Pacers to the Q on Friday night for a 7:30 pm tip-off. Hopefully, there will be some lineup changes and the Cavs will actually show that they care, play with energy and play some defense!
