Cops Seek Smash and Grab Suspect Caught on Video

The police are asking the public to help to identify the masked suspect.

MENTOR, OH — Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect in a March smash and grab robbery.

The suspect broke into a T-Mobile store on the 7000 block of Mentor Avenue on March 15 around 3:39 a.m., according to a Friday post on the Mentor Police's Facebook page. The suspect appears to be wearing a mask, and a dark hooded sweatshirt as shown by surveillance footage released by police Friday.

The suspect smashed through the glass before stealing some of the store's high-end cellphones. People with information that could help identify the suspect are asked to contact Detective Alvord at 440-974-5760 or Alvord@cityofmentor.com.
