Stark County Business Wins Medical Marijuana Cultivator License

NORTH CANTON, OH -- The Ohio Department of Commerce, through its Medical Marijuana Control Program (MMCP), released a list of 12 Level I Cultivator Provisional Licenses recipients that were granted Level I Cultivator Provisional Licenses for dispensaries throughout Ohio. Stark County's Terradiol Ohio LLC, is one of the recipients. According to Ohio's announcement, license recipients have up to 10 days to determine cultivation facility locations. The planned location for Terradiol Ohio LLC is listed as:
38oo Harmond Avenue, Canton, OH 44705.

According to the main Terradiol's Web site, the parent company operates in several states as a "diverse biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Syracuse, New York."

Ohio's MMCP was created after Ohio legalized medical use of the drug Sept. 8, 2016. The law established that the Department of Commerce and The State Board of Pharmacy would work together to establish the MMCP. Ultimately the MMCP would be responsible for issuing licenses to medical marijuana cultivators, processors and testing laboratories. The MMCP also must create a registration system for patients and caregivers as well as license the laboratories that test the marijuana.
