Fairport Harding Girls Bowling Team Honored For State Title
"These young women and their record of success as teammates, classmates, and athletic ability set a tremendous example for others."

From the Office of State Representative John Rogers: State Representative John Rogers (D-Mentor-on-the-Lake) presented a resolution on the House floor Wednesday honoring the Fairport Harding High School Girls’ Bowling Team for winning the 2018 Division II State Bowling Championship
Accepting the award was Coach Jerry Rich along with team members Shelby Benko, Lindsey Benko, Bella Coll, Sierra Sadler, Emily Eldridge, Assistant Coach Tom Chipps and Fairport Harding high School Principal Tom Fazekas. Ashlynn Craft was also a team member but not was not able to be present at the ceremony.
“These young women and their record of success as teammates, classmates, and athletic ability sets a tremendous example for others,” said Rep. Rogers. “Each of these students, their coaches, their families, the school and the entire Fairport Harbor community have every reason to be proud of this accomplishment.”

This championship marks the first for Fairport Harding High School since 1965.
“This is really exciting for the team, school and program,” said team member Bella Coll. “I’m also excited to see where the program will go in the future for all of our underclassmen friends.”

“Having the opportunity to showcase success from the district is always a memorable moment,” said Rep. Rogers. “From what I know about this team and what they plan to pursue in the next year and later, I have every reason to believe that we will be reading about continued successes in their futures.”
