Gallery One gets the pARTy started

In celebration of the Republican National Convention coming to Cleveland, Gallery One is hosting a major exhibit of patriotic art.

MENTOR, OH – Cleveland’s 2016 RNC convention officially starts July 18, but Gallery One isn’t waiting.

A special preview of a major art exhibit of American history, famous Cleveland landmarks, portraits of U.S. Presidents and patriotic symbols has been hung to delight Cleveland’s estimated 50,000 visitors and residents alike at the Mentor institution, established in 1974.

“The grand old pARTy exhibit” is free and now open to the public. All are invited. The exhibit’s grand opening is Saturday, July 16 with a closing date of Saturday, September 3.

“Gallery One puts the ART in party,” said Alan Brown, Gallery One president. “This exhibit has broad appeal that transcends political affiliations. We have portraits of American symbols, such as the bald eagle, unique artwork signed by America’s first astronauts, portraits of presidents and founding fathers, artwork celebrating the immigrant experience, famous American monuments, military and aviation art, Western art and a large selection of local landmarks by Cleveland’s iconic photographer Jim Ptacek. All of the artwork is available for purchase and can be shipped for the collector’s convenience.”

Republican Party delegates, visitors, media and residents alike can also take home the 2016 RNC commemorative keepsake featuring the official Republican mascot as a hand-signed giclée on canvas print available in three sizes. Entitled The Grand Old Party Animal, it depicts a stately elephant by award-winning photographer Alan Brown. The elephant was first used to symbolize the Republican Party in 1874.
