Mentor to Host Cleveland Orchestra Gourmet Matinee Benefit

If you find yourself in Mentor this May, you may want to attend this gourmet matinee.

Lake County’s first Gourmet Matinee on the Road will be held in Mentor on May 15.

The matinee will include a catered luncheon in the clubhouse on Lake Erie, entertainment by retired Cleveland Orchestra flutist John Rautenberg and a performance by Kent State University’s Heimat String Quartet, reported The News-Herald.

The event is meant to promote the Cleveland Orchestra as well as the Northeast Blossom Friends of the Cleveland Orchestra. The cost is $50 per person and will be held at the Mentor Harbor Yachting Club at 12:30 pm. as reported by the Herald.

According to their website, the Cleveland Orchestra is one of the most acclaimed performing ensembles in the world. It holds residencies in Cleveland, Miami and Venice, and also tours around the world.

Blossom Friends of the Cleveland Orchestra leads projects dedicated to promoting and sustaining Blossom Music Center and The Cleveland Orchestra. The matinee is one of such events.
