Mentor-on-the-Lake Resident Dead After Munson Road Crash

MENTOR, Ohio: A serious accident on Munson Road in Mentor left a local man dead on Wednesday. The police closed Munson Road between Collins Road and Cambridge Park Drive for 1.5 hours due to the crash.

60-year-old Jeffrey M. Wade, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, was traveling westbound on Munson Road just after 6 p.m. in a 1999 Cadillac when his vehicle went left of center and struck a telephone pole head on. Mentor Police Lieutenant Robert Valley said Wade was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Valley said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
