Sandy Set Up For Mentor Beachfest

The free festival takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Trucks and workers lined a section of the beach on Friday to set up for Mentor Beachfest, which takes place Saturday, July 27, 2013.

To prepare for the event, crews set up tents for vendors and activities.

Carl Jara, world champion sand sculptor had begun work on his 40-ton sand project, which will be completed Saturday evening.
