Warming Center Open For Those Without Power In Mentor
The Mentor Senior Center is opening its doors to anyone who is still without power. Come warm up.

MENTOR, OH — With more than 56,000 Ohioans still without power, and not expecting restored electricity until 8 p.m. Friday night, the city is opening the Mentor Senior Center as a warming spot for residents. The facility will be open overnight and will remain open until 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The Senior Center is located at 8484 Munson Road. The city said in an email that residents of neighboring communities are also welcome to come warm up and recharge the electronics at the facility.
Wind gusts reached 50 mph on Thursday night, knocking down power lines and throwing tree branches around. Much of Northeast and Central Ohio remain without power on Friday afternoon. Cities across the state are opening up warming centers for residents.
