Worker Dies in Heisley Road Construction Accident
Workers were removing a water line on Heisley Road when a trench collapsed.
MENTOR, OH — A worker has died in a construction accident Tuesday afternoon on Heisley Road.
Workers were removing a water line when the trench they were in collapsed, burying one under the dirt, according to a press release from city officials. The construction was part of the project to widen Heisley Road.
Traffic in both directions is currently closed on Heisley Road at Jackson Street, according to the city government.
