League of Women Voters of Oxford Sponsor Oct. 4 Candidate Forum

Citizens invited to meet candidates for several contested races in November 6 Election

The League of Women Voters of Oxford is sponsoring a Candidate Forum, Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the Commons of the Knolls of Oxford. The public is invited to meet with candidates seeking election on November 6. Contested races include U. S. Senator, U. S. Representative, State Representative, Ohio State School Board, and Butler County Commissioner. Voters will have the opportunity to talk with candidates and to learn where they stand on the issues.

League members will be available before and after the forum to help citizens not yet registered to vote to do so. They can also help those who want to check their voter registration status and to update if necessary. The voter registration deadline in Ohio is October 9. Citizens must be registered by then in order to vote in the November 6, 2018, General Election.

The League of Women Voters, founded in 1920, the year women in the U.S. won the Constitutional right to vote, is a non-partisan organization dedicated to making our democracy work through promoting voter education and voter participation.
