LWV Logo used without permission in email to MU students

Article on inappropriate use of LWV branding in email to MU students and faculty

A graphic from the 2017 Voter Information Guide published by the League of Women Voters-Oxford, which includes the League's official branding, was used recently without permission from the League in a partisan email directed to Miami University students and faculty.

According to Sibyl Miller, the League's Co-President for Organization, "This is a highly disturbing development. The League of Women Voters-Oxford is not affiliated in any way with the sender. We do not support the content of this email; it conflicts with the non-partisan nature of our organization. Our official branding cannot be used without permission."

The LWV as an organization does not advocate for individuals seeking elected office or for political parties.
