LWV of Oxford: registering voters and working with Fair Districts-Fair Elections petition drive

The Fair Districts-Fair Elections coalition seeks voter support for redistricting reform in Ohio. The goal: to end gerrymandering in our state. Members of the League of Women Voters of Oxford, in partnership with volunteers from the community, are collecting signatures on a petition to put redistricting reform on the general election ballot. In June, Fair Districts-Fair Elections volunteers collected over 1,000 signatures in Oxford and the coalition effort continues all across the state. Voters who have not yet signed the petition can do so this Sunday, July 2, in the Oxford Uptown Park. The Oxford Freedom Festival Parade, which begins at 6:30 at the Oxford Community Arts Center, ends in Uptown park where the League of Women Voters of Oxford will have petitions at their voter registration table. Any citizen who has not yet registered to vote, can register there.
