As Miami University gears up for its 2016-17 academic year -- which officially kicked off Aug. 29 -- the Department of Media, Journalism & Film is among many encouraging students to get involved. On Wednesday, the department hosted its second annual MJF Day to promote travel programs, student media groups and other opportunities. About 100 students attended the open house event, with many continuing on to the university's all-major Mega Fair event in the Central Quad.
