Students of all majors, especially those graduating this year will attend the career fair to explore internship and job opportunities.
Jennifer McLaughlin, the interim director of career services, said she expects there to be 180 to 200 employers this year to come. According to career services, over 2,000 organizations have successfully conducted interviews, attended one or more career fairs at Miami University between fall 2015 and spring 2016.

The only difference between the career fair in September and this Spring ICE is the companies’ recruiting cycle. “It really depends on when their recruiting cycle is, and when they want to have people to be hired,” McLaughlin said.
To make the event better, the career service is doing something new this year. “Students are going to come in at the front entrance only, so we can get a better idea of how many of them are,” McLaughlin said.” The employers are going to come in at another entrance.”
Students should have their resumes ready, as well as their professional dress. Career assistants and resume writing workshop are always available to help students to get their resume in shape.
Another way to get well prepared is going to the training pre-program that Miami offers. “Students who participate in one of our Spring ICE training program will probably feel more comfortable going to the event than if they just show up,” McLaughlin said. “So going to one of the program will make you feel more comfortable at the fair.”
McLaughlin said the expo is not just for business students. "Many of the companies come here looking to recruit all majors.”
