Miami University Hosting a Lecture for Latino Heritage Month
Miami University's College of Arts and Science is hosting a lecture, "Politics of Energy and Equity in the Global South."

The College of Arts and Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, is celebrating Latino Heritage month in September. Several events, performances, and activities will be taking place throughout the month.
From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on September 18th, there will be a lecture, “Politics of Energy and Equity in the Global South,” which is a part of the Passionate for Latin America Series.

Several Miami University professors, as well as a visiting Professor from Ohio State University, will discuss the climate in Latin America and many different aspects of the environment’s status.
Undergraduate Assistant at the Center for American and World Cultures Brendan Farlow said “it’s a celebration to kick off the semester.”

Farlow added that the center is trying to have a high attendance so they are advertising a lot through posters, Facebook events, and in class announcements.
