Created by the American Cancer Society to help people quit smoking, the program is designed for anyone seeking to kick the habit for good. Combining group counseling, education, and exploring alternative quitting techniques is how Fresh Start seeks to attain their goal.

Miami is offering four free sessions throughout fall semester for faculty, staff, and students.

Holly Sanders, as Armstrong ambassador, points out that Fresh Start benefits both smokers and non-smokers.

"I only notice smoking when I smell it on campus, but it's a real downer. I think having a program is good. I appreciate that it'll make this campus healthier," Sanders said.
