In the meantime, here’s a round-up of what they are reporting on some races, with links to their full stories:

  • Nine candidates are vying for four opens seat on the Oxford City Council – a Miami University student among them. Anna Quenneville has the details in her report on the council race.
  • Four candidates are chasing two spots on the Talawanda School District Board of Education. Bonnie Meibers profiles the pack.
  • In Oxford Township, voters will elect a fiscal officer, with only the incumbent running, and two trustees from four in the race. Kelly Wagner reports on that contest.
  • In Millville, Mayor Bob Settles is the sole candidate for that seat, with no candidates on the ballot for four open seats on the Village Council. Meibers explains that race.
  • In Hanover Township, voters will consider a tax levy, along with three candidates for two spots on its Board of Trustees. Claire Williams has details on those ballot items.
  • In College Corner, voters have just four candidates in three races, plus two tax levies to consider. Williams covered that community as well.

Voters have until Tuesday, Oct. 10, to register to vote. That page also allows voters to confirm their registration status.
