Public Forum: "The Politics of Public Education in Ohio"
Talawanda School District educators will share their perspectives on September 12
The Talawanda Community Advocacy for Public Education (T-CAPE), the Talawanda Educators' Association, and the League of Women Voters of Oxford are sponsoring a public forum, "The Politics of Public Education in Ohio" on September 12 at 7 PM in the auditorium of Kramer Elementary School.
Facilitated by Kathleen Knight Abowitz, representing T-CAPE, and Matt Lykins, Talawanda High School teacher of English, a panel of educators from the Talawanda School District will share their perspectives on current Ohio politics, policies, and classroom climate. Panelists include Stephanie Aerni, Talawanda High School (Social Studies); Jenny George, Talawanda Middle School (Special Education); and Stephanie Pearson, Kramer Elementary School ( Third Grade).
Also participating will be Dawn Wojcik, Ohio Educators' Association and candidate for State School Board, District 3.

Featured guest will be Ed Theroux, newly appointed Talawanda School District Superintendent. Mr. Theroux will address questions and meet families at the end of the program. The event is free and open to the public.
