Undergraduate writing hours are an opportunity for students to drop in without a meeting and gain access to writing center consultants for feedback or a quiet workspace.

“They exist for someone to come in and work on whatever they’re working on,” Luke Shackelford, a graduate assistant for the writing center, said. “What we want to do is encourage people to write and make our space available to those writers and our writing consultants.”

There will be free coffee and plenty of areas to power laptops during writing hours.

Because some of the first writing assignments of the year are coming up, this is a great chance to receive helpful advice and support from trained peer consultants during the writing process.
