Berea Christmas Tree Collection Ends Jan. 13

You can also drop off old Christmas Tree lights and extension cords at the recreation center until Jan. 6.

BEREA, OH - Christmas is Sunday and that means children will be unwrapping presents from Santa Claus. It also means that you'll be getting rid of your Christmas tree and pulling down the strings of Christmas lights coiled around your house.

The city recently released the dates when collection services will be offering curbside pickups for your blue spruces. Your trees will be collected Jan. 7 and Jan. 13. However, the city will not be collecting plastic bags, tree stands, or trees with lights still on them.

If you want to get rid of your old Christmas lights, the city has you covered. Strings of lights and extension cords can be taken to the Berea Recreation Center for recycling. Don't bring tinsel, snow spray or bubble lights.
