Connecting for Kids Expands Programming to Middleburg Heights

Connecting for Kids, a local nonprofit that provides education and support to families with concerns about their child, has recently expanded into Middleburg Heights offering its popular Music Therapy & More and Speaker Series at the Middleburg Heights Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library. These programs are presented in partnership with Cuyahoga County Public Library.
“As we looked to expand our programs south to reach new families and offer more convenience to residents of Middleburg Heights, Berea, Brook Park, Strongsville, North Royalton, Parma and Parma Heights, it became apparent that partnering with Cuyahoga County Public Library would offer advantages since its library branches are already well established in those suburbs. We chose the Middleburg Heights Branch as our first site as it is centrally located and easy to reach from I-71,” said Sarah Rintamaki, Executive Director of Connecting for Kids.
As part of the Speaker Series, a presentation entitled Managing Meltdowns will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2:00 pm at the Middleburg Heights Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library, 15600 East Bagley Rd. Christine A. Chambers, MEd, OTR/L, of Abilities First, LLC will discuss ways to decrease the frequency and intensity of meltdowns in toddlers and preschoolers. During the presentation, free, supervised children’s activities are available, but adults and children must register separately. To register, visit www.connectingforkids.org/speakerseries.
