Firehouse Subs Opens In North Olmsted; Started By Local Couple
"We couldn't ask for a better place than North Olmsted to open, or a more perfect brand to invest with and grow," one owner said.

NORTH OLMSTED, OH — The first Firehouse Subs in North Olmsted opened its doors on Saturday. The franchise was started by local couple Zoran and Carrie Timic.
For the Timics, this is the second restaurant they've opened with Firehouse. The couple signed a multi-unit franchise agreement that will see them develop six restaurants in the Greater Cleveland area. Their first restaurant was opened in Rocky River.
“We joined the Firehouse Subs family not only because we love the food, but more importantly because we align with the brand’s family values and appreciate the importance they place on giving back to the community,” said Carrie. “We couldn’t ask for a better place than North Olmsted to open, or a more perfect brand to invest with and grow.”

The couple said they will continue to contribute to public safety organizations through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has given more than $1.5 million in grants throughout Ohio.

Firehouse Subs was founded by a pair of former firefighting brothers. The new North Olmsted location reflects the founding family's decades of fire and police service. The restaurant will feature a custom, hand-painted mural by Chief Mural Artists Joe Puskas, depicting an older molder North Olmsted Fire Department engine, alongside a fireman playing with two local children and a Dalmatian puppy, all in front of the historic Old Town Hall. Since the opening of the first Firehouse Subs in 1994, Puskas and his team have painted more than 1,130 murals from his studio at Firehouse Subs Headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla.
