Heart failure is a dangerous and prevalent problem in America. More than 5.7 million adults suffer from heart failure each year, according to the American Heart Association. The number of Americans suffering heart failure each year is expected to rise to eight million by 2030. More than 870,000 new heart failure cases are diagnosed each year, and half of those new diagnoses will die within five years. However, many heart failure patients can lead a full, enjoyable life when their condition is managed with proper medications or devices and with healthy lifestyle changes.
