Important Upcoming Dates for Berea City Schools Parents

Schools will be closed Nov. 23-25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

BEREA, OH - As strange as it seems, 2016 is almost over. That means the holiday season is upon us and schools will soon be letting out students for three to five days at a time. The first such break starts Nov. 23 and runs through Nov. 25 when students will be home with families eating turkey and watching football. Here are some of the important school dates throughout the rest of November.

Nov. 14 - Nov. 18 - District Wide Assessments. The district will be doing grade-by-grade assessments in each school prior to the Thanksgiving break.

Nov. 16 - Let's Talk to Our Kids About Drugs. A parent's only class on how to handle talking about drugs and other activities to your children. The conversation will cover marijuana, heroin and other opiates, signs of a problem, how to get help, and how to properly dispose of your drugs. The event will be held at Ford Intermediate School, 17001 Holland Road, at 6 p.m. There will be a light dinner and babysitting available.
