Local Resident Wins Stuffed Animals to Donate to Stefano Dental

Henry Coffey, of Sandusky, Ohio and Veteran Claw-Machine Gamer, Shares His Wins with Local Dental Practice's Charity Drive

Henry Coffey, 72, a native Sandusky, Ohio resident, won more than 60 stuffed animals from a local stuffed animal claw-machine game, and donated them to a local charity drive at Stefano Dental of Sandusky, Ohio. More than 100 stuffed animals were collected during the month-long stuffed animal drive to give to local Sandusky, Ohio police and fire for kids in crisis, in commemoration of National Children’s Dental Health Month. For more information, go to www.stefanodental.com or call 419.626.2205.

Coffey, a claw-machine gamer for almost 15 years, has won several hundred stuffed animals over the years, donating his winnings to children and local organizations. He retired from Carmelo Ruta, Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio after working for two decades in security, delivery and pool maintenance. He also worked with the Cedar Point Police in Ohio. He turned to the claw-machine game as a way to relieve stress, and became efficient in his gaming skills as a member of Gamers Green, an organization for skilled gamers.

Coffey plays the stuffed animal claw machine, three days a week, for 15 minutes each day. An expert gamer, Coffey only spends approximately one dollar to win one animal. He resides in Sandusky, Ohio with his wife, and they have one adult son.
