Southwest Community Health Foundation Names Executive Director

Christopher Burdon will also serve as the health foundation's vice president.

From SW Community Health Foundation: Southwest General is pleased to announce that Christopher J. Burdon has accepted the positon of Vice President and Executive Director, Southwest Community Health Foundation.

Prior to joining Southwest General, Burdon served in various development roles for University Hospitals from 2012 to present. Most recently, he served as the Regional Development Director for four regional Medical Centers serving western Ohio. Burdon has a proven track record of fundraising in both health care and higher education. Burdon is credited with raising nearly $18.0 million during his time with University Hospitals. Additionally, he served as the Director of Development at The University of Akron from 2008-2012. In this role, he was responsible for the fundraising program for the College of Business Administration where he consistently exceeded his annual fundraising goals.

Burdon has a Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration from Ohio University. He resides with his family in Olmsted Falls.
