2 Killed, 4 Hurt In Ohio Plane Crash: Reports [UPDATE]

Breaking: Officials say the plane crashed around 9 a.m. on Monday.

UPDATED At 1 p.m.: APPLE CREEK, OH — Two people were killed and four hurt in a plane crash near Apple Creek Monday morning, officials told local media outlets.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. near Hackett Road, Ohio State Highway Patrol told Cleaveland 19 News. It was about two miles from Stoltzfus Airfield in Apple Creek.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office told Fox 8 that two people were killed in the crash.

Six people were on board the plane at the time of the crash, according to ABC. The four survivors suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the publication.

A Federal Aviation Association spokesperson told ABC the aircraft clipped power lines after taking off in Kidron, Ohio. Read more from ABC here.
