Kent State Stark Hosts Turkey Trot, Kids' Fun Run Nov. 18

NORTH CANTON, OH -- The Kent State Stark Campus is hosting its 2017 Turkey Trot, Sat., Nov. 18 at the Recreation & Wellness Center. The adult 5K Run/Walk Race includes a Kids' Quarter-Mile Fun Run Race as well. Registration as well as race results will be posted at www.ohioraceday.com . Along with registration fees, participants should bring a nonperishable food item, which will be donated to the Stark County Hunger Task Force.

Kids' Quarter-Mile Fun Run

Race-day Fun Run registration takes place from 7:30-8:15 a.m. The Fun Run race begins at 8:30 a.m.

Cost to participate can be paid three ways. Participants can either donate a nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Stark County Hunger Task Force; Pay $5 in-person on the day of the race or submit a check to Kent State University at Stark.

All participants will make a craft to take home.

Adult 5K Run/Walk

Race-day registration takes place from 7:45 to 8:45 and the race begins at 9 a.m. Prior to the race, registration can be completed online.

Cost to Participate is $25 plus a nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Cash or check only if paying in-person. Checks can be made payable to Kent State University at Stark. Registration can be paid online as well at OhioRaceDay.com.

Top male and female winners will receive prize turkeys, and all participants will receive a t-shirt and medal.

Nonperishable food items and payment can be dropped off at the Kent State Stark Recreation & Wellness Center or mailed to:
