Mercy Medical Recognizes Work Of North Canton Resident
North Canton resident Lisa Frock was honored as a Star Performer Employee at Mercy Medical Center.
NORTH CANTON, OH - From Mercy Medical Center: Congratulations to North Canton resident, Lisa Frock, RN, Mercy Cardiac Rehab, for being named one of Mercy Medical Center’s recent Star Performer employees. The Star Performer program is the hospital’s employee recognition and rewards program. Hospital employees, volunteers and staff are nominated each month for demonstrating outstanding performance, being a team player, going “above and beyond”, being creative and innovative and for championing service excellence.
Frock was nominated for helping a Cardiac Rehab patient who was experiencing chest pain. In a calming and reassuring manner, she convinced the patient to let her run additional EKG testing and then convinced him to go to Mercy’s Emergency Department (ED). Frock also took the time to call the patient’s doctors as well as the ED, to let them know he was on his way. She then went to visit the patient in the hospital, who was admitted, after her shift ended at Mercy Cardiac Rehab. This is just one example of Frock’s caring nature and dedication to her patients. Her Star Performer nomination form added that she frequently uses her own money to bring in treats for patients who are celebrating birthdays and other milestones and that she “truly goes above and beyond and lives out Mercy’s Mission”.
Frock has been an employee at the hospital since 1999. She was presented with her award by Paul C. Hiltz, interim CEO of Mercy Medical Center.
